25 June 2013

Ahead of Comprehensive Spending Review, OnePlusOne reveals one in three new parents feel stressed about money.

New research published today (Tuesday 25th June) by relationship charity OnePlusOne shows that money worries are the main cause of stress for one-third of new parents (33%).

The new report, Can we afford a baby and not break up?’  shows that many new parents are not prepared for the financial impact of a new baby and how this will affect their relationship.  The Money Advice Service estimates the cost of a new baby at between £1,600 and £7,200, in their first year.
