By OnePlusOne, 12 August 2014 Strengthening relationships

Dr Jacobus (Jack) Dominian  MBE;  FRCPEd;  FRCPsych; DPM, founding Director of OnePlusOne  born 25 August 1929 – died 11 August 2014

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of our founder Dr Jack Dominian. Jack was the Director of OnePlusOne from its creation in 1971 until his retirement in 1996, during which time he laid the foundations on which the current organisation thrives. After retirement, first as a  trustee of the charity and then as patron Jack remained actively involved , most recently participating  in the 2014 Edith Dominian Memorial Lecture. In delivering high quality, evidence-based services and resources for families and practitioners OnePlusOne continues to fulfil Jack’s vision for effective early intervention to strengthen relationships. Everyone at OnePlusOne – trustees, patrons and staff – will miss him greatly.

Messages of condolence can be sent to OnePlusOne, 1 Benjamin Street, London, EC1M 5QG from where they will be forwarded to Jack’s family.

May he rest in peace. I will try to get to the funeral tomorrow.
I’m very sad to learn of Jack’s death.

It was my great pleasure and priviledge to have worked with Dr. Jack Dominion as a counsellor for the C.M.A.C. He was a wise and understanding tutor to us. God will surely welcome him home.

It’s only to-day ( 19/12/2015) that, by accident, browsing the internet, I have learnt of Dr. Jack Dominian’s death. This leaves me in sadness. Yet I am full of joy as at long last he has met His Saviour whom he served so well. If I am here well and alive both mentally and spiritually in good health, it is thanks to Jack Dominian. I spent more than five years as one of his clients, late sixties, early seventies. Little by little he made me whole again !
Thanks Jack ! Rest in Peace ! I will be forever grateful to you !
