Our free service for separating parents has been shortlisted for the 2014 Digital Leaders 100 awards.

Since its launch in January, Splitting Up? Put Kids First which helps separating couples create a bespoke co-parenting plan has had more than 1,200 users register.

Roz Davies, founder of social enterprise, We Love Life who voted for the service said: “I was struck by the value of the OnePlusOne approach on so many levels, for parents, for children and for society.

“This service provides a non-threatening, non-judgmental easy-to-use tool for parents who are at a really difficult time in their lives. As a parent and child of parents who did not have this sort of support when they split up, I know first-hand the value of this platform.

“This is really showcasing the best of what digital can do.”

OnePlusOne director, Penny Mansfield added: “Separation is a major upheaval in the lives of parents and children.

“Having access to support early on is critical. Our innovative service is free and designed to equip parents with the knowledge and skills they need to make a workable parenting plan – by themselves.

“As it’s online, the parenting plan can be revised as circumstances change, providing separated parents with a communication channel to continue to meet the needs of their children as they grow.

“We’re incredibly pleased the service has been shortlisted for this award. It’s recognition of how innovative and useful many people have found Splitting up? Put Kids first It’s the first time a parenting plan has been made available online.”
