One Plus One's new service for couples and parents is now live! Staff at One Plus One have been working hard over the last few months to create this new and exciting service for couples. thecoupleconnection.net is designed to follow the helping process which you can view here. By working through the three sections of the site, Check it out, Talk it out and Work it out, users will be following the helping process in order to improve their relationship.

Check it out - provides useful resources and content including video clips, animation and cartoons helping individulas to understand relationships and how to address common issues.

Talk it out - is an online community for couples where they can share their experiences and ask questions of others in the Forum. This Forum will be visited regularly by trained relationship counsellors, who will add insights from their experience of working with relationships.

Work it out - this is the highly innovative area of the site that helps individuals and couples work on specific areras of their relationship. Registered users of the site will have their own private and couple spaces in which personalised content, goals and exercises will be presented.

Practitioners may find information and resources on thecoupleconnection.net useful for their work with parents and couples; the downloadable exercises may prove to be a helpful tool to refer people to if they are looking to work on their relationship.

Please check out thecoupleconnection.net now! Any of your thoughts and comments are very gratefully received. The site is still being developed and worked on so if you have any ideas now is the time to let us know! You can email us at support@thecoupleconnection.net.

Director of One Plus One, Penny Mansfield, was featured in an interview on the BBC News Channel discussing the 2007 provisional divorce statistics. In an article on the BBC website Penny is quoted saying: "Annual divorce statistics no longer offer us a clear picture of the state of British relationships - those who don't marry can't divorce, but they and their children are just as likely, if not more likely, to experience the impact of relationship breakdown." To view the article click here.

Penny has also been invited by Dr Shelia Shribman, the National Clinical Director for Children, Young People and Maternity Services, to become a member of the expert group for the Child Health Promotion Programme. Penny will be attending the first meeting of the expert group in September.
