  News from One Plus One

One Plus One has published a literature review entitled Growing together, drifting apart? by Fiona Glenn. The report shows that parents of children with disabilities are more likely to experience relationship distress and that some parents are not getting the support they need. The support services are often disjointed and inconsistent. The result is even more stress for these vulnerable families. To read the full review click here.

One Plus One staff members have been at this year's Unite / CPHVA conference Shaping the future held in Torquay. This year's conference will be focussing on the changing role played by health visitors. Earlier this year Penny Mansfield, along with other professionals and practitioners took part in the Health Visitor Working Group contributing to the publication of Facing the future: A review of the role of health visitors.

One Plus One staff will be attending a meeting organised by the Family and Parenting Institute to discuss concerns over various television programmes produced recently including the controversial Bringing up Baby, produced by Silver River Productions.

Director of One Plus One, Penny Mansfield signed a letter to The Telegraph earlier this month along with other prominent professionals and practitioners expressing concern about such programming.
