Chantal’s role ensures the smooth running of the charity, supporting the CEO and the experienced Board of Trustees. She also manages the Human Resources systems.
Shannon has a BSc (Hons) in Psychology, an MSc in Research Methods in Psychology and a PhD in Psychology. She joined OnePlusOne in 2019 to lead the charity’s research and build on her extensive academic focus on relationships.
Jimi creates and oversees the editorial content for OnePlusOne’s range of relationship resources and interventions, having joined the charity in 2014.
A chartered accountant with over 20 years' experience in the finance sector and 15 years' experience in the charity arena, Jen is responsible for all financial matters as OnePlusOne adapts and navigates into the future.
Tabitha is responsible for creating and delivering our communications strategy in support of our mission to achieve relational capability for all. With a strong public sector background, she is highly experienced in strategic communications and media relations.
Sara manages all digital and face-to-face projects, empowering the team to work productively in alignment with our mission and achieve our objectives. Sara brings a wealth of technical knowledge and experience, further strengthening our position in the digital space.
Johnny joined the team in 2021 and is a graphic designer with over 20 years’ experience of working for charities and third sector organisations. He ensures that OnePlusOne’s reports and resources are on-brand, well designed, accessible and user-friendly.
Claire has a background in Educational Psychology. She gained a postgraduate certificate at King’s College London in systemic practice and has been working as a senior practitioner in Early Help Family Support Service.
Charmari is responsible for leading practice development and she delivers training on OnePlusOne’s interventions for practitioners. She is also a counsellor. She has had experience working with families, parents and children in various community and international contexts. She has a background in the charitable and corporate sectors.
Claire has been focussed on customer care for over 25 years. Her primary goal is to ensure the best possible communication, service delivery and outcomes within business relationships. She believes mutual goals and understanding are key to the success of any partnership.
Ben is an experienced web developer and editor, responsible for ensuring users of OnePlusOne’s interventions and websites enjoy a high quality digital journey. With a BSc in Forensic Science and Psychology, and a professional qualification in UX, Ben’s technical expertise, attention to detail and analytical skills help to ensure the smooth running of all our digital services.
Gemma has a passion for helping people and brings over 15 years of customer support experience to the team. She is the first point of contact for training enquiries and is responsible for the administration of OnePlusOne’s training programmes, working closely with local authorities, training participants, and our team of trainers. Gemma ensures the smooth running of this area of our work, providing a stress-free experience for people using OnePlusOne’s services.
Alex has a degree in Psychology from the University of Edinburgh and is passionate about using applied psychology to help people. She has a wealth of experience of working with children and young people, including supporting those with additional needs, and working with young people from disadvantaged backgrounds. She has also taught English online. As a member of our research team, Alex conducts background research and collects evidence to inform our project work, organises learning sets with local authorities who use our interventions, and supports OnePlusOne’s reporting and evaluation work.
Caroline is an experienced trainer and qualified counsellor, supporting individuals, couples and families. She is an Independent Domestic Violence Advisor and a group facilitator for women and children affected by domestic violence and abuse. She is also a safety worker for the partners or ex-partners of men on behaviour change programmes.
Catherine’s early research focused on peer support anti-bullying initiatives in schools and she has significant experience in child and family wellbeing. Her research and evaluations have influenced the charity’s programmes over many years.
Helen is a psychology student at the University of Sheffield who has an interest in Dialectical Behavioural Therapy. She previously joined the OnePlusOne team for a work experience placement and has now joined us as an associate to research and write articles for our relationship platform, Click.
Ruth's former employment includes the No10 Policy Unit, Department for Education, Guardian News & Media and she now leads ThePublicOffice team. Ruth is passionate about public service transformation that prioritises the citizen experience and leads to improved outcomes
Katharine joined OnePlusOne as a trustee in 2015. She is a family lawyer at Withers LLP, an international private client law firm. She deals with cases across the whole spectrum of family work including divorce, financial claims, cohabitation and children matters.
Emma Ries, has been a Trustee at OnePlusOne since May 2009. Emma is an experienced specialist family lawyer, collaborative lawyer and mediator and has been working in this field since 1998.
Gavin joined OnePlusOne as a trustee in 2020. He is a partner at KPMG LLP in their Private Client tax team, and is a Chartered Accountant and Chartered tax advisor. Gavin supports individuals and families to understand their tax obligations and plan for the future.
Jonathan joined OnePlusOne as a trustee in 2020. He is an expert in crowdsourcing and management of global communities engaging users on different topics from innovation to mental health. He has designed or managed over 400 innovation programmes around the world.
Nell joined as a trustee in 2020. She is an expert in digital content and product leadership. She has worked for companies that range from tiny start-ups to the Guardian UK and US, where she was Managing Editor, Mumsnet and the BBC.
Sarah Healey has been Permanent Secretary of the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS) since April 2019.Prior to this, she worked in the Cabinet Office where she was the Director General overseeing the development and implementation of economic and domestic policy.
Simon joined OnePlusOne as a trustee in 2020. He specialises in leading the design and development of digital services that deliver social change.
Karen studied Economics before joining a large accountancy firm. For the last 25 years Karen has worked in financial planning with a specialism in divorce and separation. She was the first financial adviser to sit on a Resolution committee and was instrumental in launching the IFA accreditation scheme. She now runs her own financial planning practice.
Pravin is a chartered accountant. He started his career in banking before developing a passion for healthcare and wellbeing which led him to work for various hospitals over the last 10 years. He is currently acting deputy CFO at a London NHS Hospital.
