Alexandra HamiltonContent producerBiography

Alexandra works with the Content and Comms team to write and edit content for OnePlusOne's relationship resources and interventions. She has several years experience in creating digital and online content for charitable organisations after graduating with a BA Honours in Professional Writing from York University, Canada. Outside of work, Alexandra enjoys reading, baking, and exploring Northern Ireland with her husband and their dog.

Alexandra TzvetkovaResearch assistantBiography

Alex helps with OnePlusOne’s reporting and evaluation work, carries out background research and collects evidence to inform our project work. One of the things she loves most about her job is that she gets to use her psychology degree in an applied setting and play a part in helping people improve their relationships. Alex loves listening to podcasts, taking long walks and spending time with her favourite people/dogs.

Ash MolloyCustomer relationship and partnership coordinatorBiography

Ash supports OnePlusOne’s partner organisations in acquiring and making the most of our packages. She previously led the RPC programme in Shropshire and was a Relationship Champion. Ash has a background of working with children and families. Her MA in Cultural Studies was focused on online dating and romantic ideology – research she later published as a book. When she’s not working, she disappears to the hills with her dogs.

Charmari DowningProgramme development managerBiography

Charmari works collaboratively to lead the development of programmes, practice and training for OnePlusOne. She has a background in the corporate, charitable, and voluntary sectors. She has worked directly with families, parents and children in various community and international contexts. Charmari also works as an integrative counsellor and couples therapist. Outside work, Charmari loves nature, going for walks, having a hot chocolate with friends and spending time with her family.

Gemma SladeProject & people co-ordinatorBiography

Gemma has a passion for helping people and brings over 15 years of customer support experience to the team. She is the first point of contact for training enquiries and is responsible for the administration of OnePlusOne’s training programmes. Gemma ensures the smooth running of this area of our work, providing a stress-free experience for people using OnePlusOne’s services.

Jen CameronHead of financeBiography

Jen is a chartered accountant. Having accrued over 25 years' experience in finance including 18 in the charity arena, she holds fellowship status with the ICAEW. Jen is responsible for all financial reporting and has been guiding OnePlusOne's financial strategy, budgeting and forecasting since 2022. When not polishing spreadsheets, she is a keen and competitive sea rower, padel player, runner and cold water therapy practitioner.

Jimi OdellContent managerBiography

Jimi specialises in translating evidence-based material into accessible resources that real people can use to make positive changes in their lives. He has an MA in creative writing and has published short fiction on both sides of the Atlantic. When not writing, he can be found walking along the English coastline, playing face-melting guitar solos, or negotiating with cats. He joined the OnePlusOne team in 2014.

Johnny BurkeContent designerBiography

Johnny joined the team in 2021 and is a graphic designer with over 20 years’ experience of working for charities and third sector organisations. He designs OnePlusOne's reports, training materials, marketing assets and a myriad of other resources and ensures that everything is on-brand, well designed, accessible and user-friendly. Johnny lives in rural Norfolk where he is constantly bullied by Manon, his cat.

Matthew NelSenior UX leadBiography

Matt looks after OnePlusOne's digital platforms – the website, the tools, the UX, and anything that needs building, fixing, or rethinking. He likes to think about how all the pieces connect, and how to make things work better for the people using them. His background is in photography and design, and he's drawn to the crossover between creativity and systems thinking. Outside of work, you'll find him fermenting something in the kitchen, making collage or animation, or hunting down a decent coffee.

Sara LightOperations managerBiography

Sara manages all digital and face-to-face projects, empowering the team to work productively in alignment with our mission and achieve our objectives. Sara brings a wealth of technical knowledge and experience, further strengthening our position in the digital space. In her spare time, Sara enjoys socialising, walking her crazy cocker spaniel and making memories with her son.

Sereena VajaJunior research assistantBiography

Sereena helps the research team undergo psychological research behind our exciting projects at OnePlusOne. She first joined us in 2022 and is now completing a placement year as part of her Business Management and Psychology (BA) studies at Sheffield Hallam University. When she’s not working on a literature review, you can find her painting, singing karaoke in her room, or playing cards in the pub with her friends.

Dr Shannon HirstSenior research leadBiography

Shannon is a research psychologist who joined OnePlusOne in 2019 after completing her PhD on attachment and forgiveness, and postdoc on emotional readiness. Shannon is passionate about applied research and how we use evidence to help people have fulfilling, meaningful relationships. When not trying to change the world one relationship at a time she can be found wrangling her rescue pup, listening to music, or hanging with friends and family.

Tabitha FrangoullidesCommunications managerBiography

Tabitha has a background in strategic communications and media relations. She is responsible for helping us to raise the profile of the work we do, telling the stories of how it helps others, and building effective relationships with partners who share our passion for supporting relationships. When she's not working, Tabitha volunteers at a local equine therapy centre and swimming club, supporting young people to reach their full potential.

Verity GlasgowCEOBiography

Verity has over 20 years' experience working in the charity sector within health and social care, with a background in service delivery, income generation, and strategy. She has worked with large grants and contracts from both philanthropic funding and government grants, and is passionate about early intervention and prevention. When not thinking about strategy she is often seen running around West Sussex or trying to keep up with her Cavapoos.

Caroline is an experienced trainer and qualified counsellor, supporting individuals, couples and families. She is an Independent Domestic Violence Advisor and a group facilitator for women and children affected by domestic violence and abuse. She is also a safety worker for the partners or ex-partners of men on behaviour change programmes.

Emma JoyceAccounts officerBiography

Emma came to OnePlusOne with 20 years’ experience of business management. She is an experienced bookkeeper with a keen eye for detail and a highly adaptable nature. When she can bear to tear herself away from spreadsheets, she can be found pottering in the garden, dreaming of her next foreign adventure.

Natalia MedinaTrainerBiography

Natalia is one of our Associate trainers delivering RPC to Local Authorities. Natalia is a domestic abuse specialist with expertise in family intervention and trauma-informed approaches. She has a MA in gender-based violence and has supported survivors of trauma on their pathway to recovery for over 8 years. Natalia also leads the Training & Development department in a prestigious organisation. Natalia enjoys live music, holidays and chilling with her cat.

Janet ReibsteinEmerita in the School of Psychology at the University of ExeterBiography

Janet Reibstein is Professor Emerita in the School of Psychology at the University of Exeter, where she directed the postgraduate programme in family and couple therapy, and ran a postgraduate psychotherapy clinic. She is the author of the Exeter Model, an innovative evidence-based method for working with couples, widely used in NHS services and private practice. Prof. Reibstein was Clinical Consultant to OnePlusOne for over 20 years, during which time she authored or co-authored many of the programmes adopted by UK courts for divorcing couples. Her latest book, Good Relations: Cracking the Code of how to get on better pulls together relationship research and the potential for learning relational capability.She is the author of a number of books on relationships, marriage, and the family, and numerous publications both in the academic and popular media. She was previously on the editorial board of the Journal of Family Therapy, and was the chief spokesperson for the British Psychological Society on relationships. Her research interests have focused on wellbeing and skilful relating, long-enduring satisfying partnerships, divorce and separation, affairs within marriage, relationships at work, and therapy with couples. She has appeared as an expert commentator for television and radio both nationally and internationally and has written widely for national and international publications on relationships. She has a private psychotherapy practice in London within The Child and Family Practice in London.

Jenny ReynoldsExpert in couple and family relationships and a longstanding OPO research associateBiography

Jenny Reynolds is an expert in couple and family relationships and a longstanding OnePlusOne research associate. She has spent her career on the interface between research and practice, including working with the Joseph Rowntree Foundation and the Nuffield Foundation, to produce accessible research publications.She has worked on many of OnePlusOne’s flagship projects, including the first randomised controlled trial of the Brief Encounters training programme and the co-development and testing of the relational capability framework. She has been involved in numerous government-funded evaluations of OnePlusOne’s innovative digital resources and training programmes, including a series of projects designed to reduce parental conflict. These include Me You and Baby Too for new parents, See it Differently for parents in challenging situations, and Separating Better, the app for separating parents.Jenny has co-authored and edited publications designed to communicate important areas of evidence such as Parental conflict: outcomes and interventions for children and families. Other publications include: Understanding relationship quality; Couple relationships: a sourcebook for practitioners and Scoping gaps in the provision of training for practitioners working with parents. She also acts as a research consultant with other family and parenting support organisations developing funding bids, and conducting reviews and evaluations. She recently worked as the impact lead on the University of Bath’s multimillion-pound ESRC- and EPSRC-funded Impact Acceleration Account programmes designed to further the beneficial impact of the university’s research on society.

Jonathan joined OnePlusOne as a trustee in 2020. He is an expert in crowdsourcing and management of global communities engaging users on different topics from innovation to mental health. He has designed or managed over 400 innovation programmes around the world.

Katharine joined OnePlusOne as a trustee in 2015. She is a family lawyer at Withers LLP, an international private client law firm. She deals with cases across the whole spectrum of family work including divorce, financial claims, cohabitation and children matters.

James FreemanFamily lawyer and fellow of the International Academy of Family LawyersBiography

James is a leading family lawyer. He deals with all issues arising from relationship breakdown, specialising in difficult or complicated cases. He is committed to resolving disputes in a constructive way wherever possible and is trained as a mediator. He is a fellow of the International Academy of Family Lawyers and has considerable experience of cross-border work.

Dr Erica HepperSenior Lecturer in Psychology at University of SurreyBiography

Erica joined OnePlusOne as a trustee in 2024. She is a psychologist who specialises researching how people navigate close relationships and the wider social world. Her published work focuses on the role of emotions, personality, self and identity in relational contexts.

Gavin ShawPartner at KPMG LLPBiography

Gavin joined OnePlusOne as a trustee in 2020. He is a partner at KPMG LLP in their Private Client tax team, and is a Chartered Accountant and Chartered tax advisor. Gavin supports individuals and families to understand their tax obligations and plan for the future.

Imani joined OnePlusOne as a trustee in 2026. She has over 15 years’ experience working across education, social care, and youth justice, supporting organisations to navigate complexity and drive meaningful culture change. As a facilitator and consultant, Imani works with teams to strengthen leadership across generations, with a particular focus on youth development and advocacy.
